Dear foreign trade bosses, do you often come across ads for "$699 all-inclusive foreign trade website packages" and feel like you've hit the jackpot?
Don't get too excited just yet! The waters run deep in this industry, and you might be stepping into one of four carefully disguised traps—falling into any one could mean heavy losses.
Trap #1: Low-price bait, sky-high hidden costs
The so-called "all-inclusive price" is just bait. After you pay, additional fees for domain names, servers, functional plugins, etc., will start piling up, easily doubling or tripling the total cost.
Trap #2: Fake orders, real scams!
This is the most vicious trap! Scammers will fake "overseas orders" in your website backend, then trick you into advancing funds for "procurement" or "customs fees." Once you transfer the money, they vanish. Many local authorities have issued warnings about this type of fraud!
Trap #3: Garbage templates, utterly useless
You'll get slapped with crude, poorly made templates that result in painfully slow loading speeds, fail to meet overseas user habits, and—most critically—can't be properly indexed by search engines like Google. You end up paying for a "digital business card" no one can find.
Trap #4: Data hostage, vanishing vendors
Your domain, server, and data may be entirely controlled by the provider. When you want to migrate or terminate the service, they demand exorbitant "ransom" fees. If the vendor disappears, your website shuts down instantly—all your investment gone in a flash.
Our next video will show you how to spot and avoid these schemes. Hit follow—don't miss it!
