Your website hasdozens of FAQ articles,FAQand Google has indexed them. But when a customer asksChatGPT:“Which supplier is a better fit for this type of product?”AIrecommends several, but never you.
The problem may not beSEO, but that your content is hard to“extract”.
Many companies write:“We offer a range of solutions, tailored to each customer’s needs.”This may sound comprehensive, but it offers no clear conclusion, making it hard forAIto quote directly.
You could write instead:“Food processing companies typically choose standard stainless steel models, which are suitable for environments requiring frequent cleaning. Custom models are a better choice when corrosion resistance or high-temperature performance is required.”
To make it easier forAIto quote your content, remember three points: use customers’ real questions as headings; state the conclusion in the first sentence; and replace vague claims with data, case studies, and comparison tables. Also check yourFAQstructure, page crawl permissions, and whether product specifications are available as readable text.
Being indexed by Google only means your content is in its database. Being understood and cited byAImeans it has become part of the answer customers receive.
