Last time we reminded everyone to beware of WhatsApp phishing links. This time, we’ll teach you how to add a "security lock" to your account—enable official two-step verification to reduce the risk of theft at its source! This is an official standard feature available to all users for free.
The setup steps are super simple—just follow along:
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and find "Settings" at the bottom;
Step 2: Go to "Account" and select "Two-step verification";
Step 3: Click "Enable," create a 6-digit PIN, and confirm it;
Step 4: We recommend adding a backup email for PIN recovery, then confirm to complete the setup.
Important! Remember your PIN and never share it with anyone. Once enabled, new devices must enter the PIN to log in—even if scammers get the verification code, they can't access your account.
