Let's first look at the overall performance of China's foreign trade in 2024. Customs data show that in the first 11 months, the total value of our country's import and export of goods reached 39.79 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.9% over the same period last year! Among them, exports performed particularly well, with 23.04 trillion yuan, a growth rate of 6.7%; imports also reached 16.75 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.4%. Focusing on Zhuzhou, in the first 11 months of 2024, the total value of imports and exports was 22.6 billion yuan, an increase of 27.1% over the same period last year. In particular, exports reached 17.15 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 36.6%, ranking first in the province, and imports also reached 5.45 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4%.
When it comes to exports in specific industries, there are many surprises. From January to November 2024, China's new energy vehicle production and sales were booming, with a production of 11.345 million vehicles and sales of 11.262 million vehicles, up 34.6% and 35.6% year-on-year respectively. In addition, the sales of new energy vehicles have steadily exceeded 40% of the total sales of new vehicles. The "new three" are even more powerful, with annual exports directly exceeding the trillion yuan mark, which truly demonstrates the green and low-carbon competitive advantages of China's manufacturing industry in the global industrial chain and supply chain. Similarly, in the first 11 months of 2024, Zhuzhou's exports of electromechanical products and high-tech products have been soaring, with electromechanical products exported for 12.1 billion yuan, up 43.5%, and high-tech products exported for 2.79 billion yuan, an astonishing growth rate of 167.8%.
Yiwu is also a master of foreign trade exports. In the first 11 months of 2024, the total export value soared to 613.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%, exceeding the total value of last year early, setting a new historical height.
