Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Supajee announced that Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada will collectively lower seller fees, with reductions of up to 42.9%. The new rates will take effect on December 1, 2026, and remain in place through May 31, 2027. The move is expected to benefit around 1.2 million sellers and aims to ease cost pressures on small and medium-sized sellers.
The fee cuts may first be reflected in sellers’ platform expenses, but the maximum reduction does not mean that all sellers or all fee items will be reduced by the same amount. The actual savings for each seller will still depend on the applicable rates and their business circumstances.

The fee reductions have a clearly defined duration. When assessing cost changes, sellers should also consider how long the rate adjustments will remain in effect. They can follow subsequent announcements from each platform regarding specific fee items, eligible sellers, and rate arrangements after the period ends.
