Xiao Shuping (Old Cadre Service Center, Zhengxiang District, Hengyang, Hunan 421000) Abstract: At present, some public institutions face issues in fixed asset management such as non-standard procurement and acceptance procedures, inadequate usage and maintenance, outdated asset management information, and untimely disposal and scrapping. These problems lead to financial waste, idle fixed assets, and negatively impact the long-term development of public institutions. Therefore, this paper explores the existing problems and causes in fixed asset management of public institutions, proposes improvement suggestions, and aims to enhance the level of fixed asset management and promote the long-term development of public institutions.
