Abstract: Against the backdrop of continuous development in the healthcare industry, public hospitals face stringent operational cost control pressures while providing efficient medical services. Lean management can effectively enhance production and service quality, and its introduction into public hospital operations has become a key approach to optimizing resource allocation and improving service efficiency. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the application of lean management in operational cost control of public hospitals. Based on analyzing the core concepts of lean management, it explores the main issues encountered in public hospital operational cost control and further proposes specific applications of lean management in this context, aiming to provide guidance for establishing a sound operational cost control system in public hospitals.
